Our company was founded over 40 years ago by Bob Wright, illustrator, graphic designer and entrepreneur. He started the firm as a one-man studio serving the needs of local businesses. Over time the firm grew, adding capabilities and people and eventually moved out of Bob’s home and into a converted house in the city of Rochester.
In 1980, Bob sold the company to his right-hand man, Bob Whiting, and retired to Arizona. Bob Wright passed away in January 2012. You can see Bob Wright’s fine art by visiting his personal site.
Bob Whiting continued to grow the firm and saw it reach 28 employees with offerings in illustration, graphic design and multimedia productions. In the process he won Communicator of the Year in 1987. The business moved again, this time occupying two floors of a 20,000 square foot building that Bob purchased and renovated.
In 1997 Bob suffered and eventually succumbed to an aneurysm. It was a tragic loss. Bob was a rare mix of creative pro and business executive. He was a devoted husband and father and was well regarded in our community.
Bob’s wife Nancy Whiting worked alongside our staff to continue the operation until Mike Gastin joined our firm in 2003. Within a short time, Mike bought the company.
Mike brings an entrepreneur’s drive as well as years of marketing and sales experience to the business. His focus is expanding the business through strategic development, building capabilities and nurturing the company’s culture of blessing.
